Here’s an overview of the various BGA events held throughout the year.
Kohler
An early spring modified stableford event typically held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The most recent Kohler was held at Queenstown Harbor, Queenstown, Maryland and won by Andy Elkins in 2019.
Water Can Classic
A spring event added to the rota in 2013. The event format is modified stableford. The most recent Water Can Classic final was held at Oak Creek Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and won by Frank Mejia in 2018.
The SPAM
A summer event that utilizes a pressure packed skins format. The SPAM was last contested in 2019 at Westfields Golf Club, Clifton, Virginia and won by Frank Mejia.
The American Open
A stroke play event that was last contested in 2008 at Reynolds’s Plantation, Greensboro, Georgia and won by Randy Broughman.
The Wellman Cup
A Ryder Cup style event that was last contested in 2013 in Pinehurst, North Carolina and won by Frank Mejia’s team.
Dos Equis Team Challenge
Another Ryder Cup style event that includes an MVP designation to a player on the winning team. The most recent was held at The Bridges Golf Club, Abbottstown, Pennsylvania and won by Frank Mejia’s team. Franks brother, Doug was the MVP.
The Mulligan Memorial
A fall event where mulligans are assigned to players based on flight. Leon Anderson won the most recent Mulligan Memorial in 2017 at Whiskey Creek Golf Club, Ijamsville, Maryland.
Other Events
