Jim Frenette Wins the 2023 SPAM!

This is the 21st SPAM in 29 year history of The BGA.

The format is skins within your foursome worth a single point except for the final round. On the final round, skins are worth 2 points each on holes 7-12 and 3 points each on holes 13-18. Any remaining skins are divided after each round. For example, if there are three skins left after the round, each player in that foursome would receive 0.75 skins.

Saturday, August 5th

First Round – Stoneleigh Golf & Country Club, Round Hill, Virginia.

Sunny, a slight breeze and temps in the mid 70’s that felt like 80’s with the humidity when the first of three foursomes teed off at 9:15 am.

For the first round, players are paired together who have similar handicaps.

Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy later, temps about the same as yesterday when the first of three foursomes teed off at 9:15 am.

For the second and final round, players are paired based on the number of skins earned. Leaders are in the last group.
